On this episode of Pro Acoustics Tech Talk, Nathan and Coltin take you through our Stadium Category and discuss a few of their favorite baseball sound systems! They also show how you can contact our sound engineers to customize any system to accommodate your specific needs.

Nathan:
Hey everybody, thanks for joining us for yet another edition of our Pro Acoustics Tech Talk. I'm Nathan.

Cotlin:
And I'm Coltin.

Nathan:
And we are here today to talk to you guys a little bit about baseball and softball. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, didn't see a shadow. I don't know. I don't know what happened, but supposedly we're in for an early spring, so it's time to talk about some stickball, right Coltin?

Cotlin:
Absolutely. We're going to dive into our stadium sound system category and kind of browse through some of our favorites and show you what we have to offer for you guys on this upcoming season. So stick with us to the end. It's going to be some good stuff. We'll see you on the other side.

Cotlin:
All right Nathan. So I'm going to dive into our site a little bit.

Nathan:
Yeah, let's, let's show the folks where they can find baseball and softball on our site.

Cotlin:
Yeah, absolutely. So on the top left corner here, you have the shop by category button. You're gonna want to click on that. Stadium sound systems. You've got to pull that up right quick. Here we go. All right, so here's our stadium sound systems page. Guide me through some of our favorites and what we have to offer on this page.

Nathan:
Yeah, will do. First things first, we've talked about it before. If you're totally clueless and have no idea what you need from anything that you're looking at on this stadiums page, it's still great to go here. You can go ahead and enter your name, your email address, and your phone number, along with that important little box right there that you'd like to get emails from us, and hit that get help fast button. We'll get back in touch with you soon after that. Or click on this "Tell us About Your Stadium" button. From there you can actually dive in, fill out a form that asks you a few questions, what kind of sport you have going on, what you need help with. And then we are happy to dive into that, and it gives us the information we need on what to steer you towards.

Nathan:
From there we can start scrolling on down. The first row of packages you're going to find are all called football or small athletic stadium packages. We want to make sure and mention any of these packages can kind of be used for any sport, more or less. Some of them have been tailored very specifically for certain sports and certain applications. Like the Football Stadium Package has a big speaker fire across the field, not always needed in baseball and softball. But these two packages, I've used both of those quite a bit with baseball as well, even though they don't reference baseball in the titles. Don't let that bug you. And then from there on any of our packages, you can see the system highlights. Really important. Bold print stuff down here, give you an idea budget, how big the crowd size is, small, medium, large, and then also the music quality, good, better, best. You want the best music quality, obviously, that does tend to have a little bit higher price point. Then also some little details, Bluetooth, wireless mics, that kind of thing.

Nathan:
So let's scroll on down a little bit further. If you don't mind Coltin, let's get out of the predominantly football category area and get a little bit lower down to some of our other options. A lot of portable packages along the way as we're scrolling guys. If you don't have anywhere to actually mount speakers at your baseball field, you can use a lot of these cool portable packages. Let's keep on rolling to find some of my favorite baseball packages hiding down here in the bottom.

Nathan:
So go ahead and hold up there Coltin, if you'd like. Guys, you probably noticed that we picked up some of the smaller packages here. We can do a decent baseball field system for under a thousand dollars if you are on a super tight budget. If it's a little league, very small high school, it can be done. A couple of speakers on your press box, on your dugout, on your backstop, and then pair that with a mixer amp and a microphone, and away you go. Coming down from there, you're going to see the introduction of some actual paging horns. Those paging horns are going to be a lot like bullhorns, megaphones. It's gonna sound like a bullhorn or a megaphone. A lot of us, you know, that are our age, millennials and gen Z, grew up with paging horns at ball fields or nothing.

Nathan:
You know, we still do have those options, and they can cover really wide areas, throw the human voice a really long distance. But if you guys are planning on cranking up some more modern hip hop, some lady Gaga, some J-Lo, the horns are not going to be the exact way you want to go as far as something like that goes.

Cotlin:
Describe it as it sounds like it's coming out of the telephone.

Nathan:
Yeah, I mean, sounds like this for the most part. Yeah. So I mean, it's not going to have a lot of deep bass. So let's scroll on over to page two and see what else we got that we could show you guys. Once again, a lot of different options. If this overwhelms you in any way, you can always just click on the chat with us button or give us a buzz on the (888) number. You'll find it a lot of places here and we can help with that also.

Nathan:
But now we're into some of my favorite options here, like the Small Athletic Field Sound System. That's got a JBL mixer amp, some JBL speakers. Those are about 8" woofers that are inside there. Speakers about that big or so, able to throw 5,000 feet. Sound great. That kind of solution comes in under $2,000 for your ball field but still gives you some nice crisp rich sound. That's built tough to rock for you. Also more of the horn style systems on this top row. Let's go on down a little bit more Coltin, and we can show some other different looks here. You'll see some packages that have mixes of full-range speakers along with horns. That's so that you can have music nearby, the press box or the backstop and then horns to throw the far distance, kind of the best of both worlds. Or you'll find our softball field system right here in the middle. Instead of doing a more musical speaker with a horn, these types of packages do more of both in one, so a music speaker that also can project out long distances like a horn.

Nathan:
Softball field, baseball field. When you see that referenced here, there's no rule, the players association doesn't say you have to use this system for this field or anything like that. It's much more that the Softball Field System is going to have a smaller amplifier, also a smaller, shorter-range speaker. Whereas the Baseball Field System, just because of the nature of the size of the field is going to need a bigger amp, more under the hood. It's going to need the V8 instead of the V6, and it's going to have a more premium speaker option to throw a longer distance.

Nathan:
So, if you're a softball coach, and you like what I just said about the baseball field system that we'll see here in just a second, then we can go that route. If you are a baseball coach on a budget, you can still do the softball field system. So either way, as far as that goes.

Nathan:
Here's the Baseball Field System. Like I just mentioned, it's got a top seller badge, well earned, got a lot of those packages out there. That is the baseball field sound system category under $2,500, with a couple of speakers from Community loudspeakers, one of our favorite stadium speaker manufacturers. Along those lines, we've got options from JBL, Bose, Yamaha, all the major manufacturers, as far as stadiums go. So if we can help with any of those, definitely let us know here.

Nathan:
Hold up real quick, Coltin, another thing I want to highlight for the guys and gals watching us, is we also have these Multi-Field Baseball Complex Systems. If you're doing a ball field, lots of times, little league or high school or community ball or something like that, you've got the classic concession stand in the center with multiple fields, where you need to make announcements, play the national anthem, say you got a sick kid or a lost kid or whatever. This type of package is kind of perfect for that, where you can do play by play individually on the fields with our multi-zone mixer-amplifier. Then you also have a priority microphone for making announcements to talk to everybody. You can talk to all the fields, can talk to one of the fields, whatever you want to do as far as that goes.

Nathan:
And then once again to reiterate, if you don't have something permanent, we can always do a portable solution as well, whether it be a couple of speakers on stands or whether it be something more like the Anchor Audio Portable System that you saw from us while we were scrolling through that are battery-powered. So hopefully that makes sense to you guys. Basically, check out this category. Let us know what we can do to help what system packages look good to you. We're happy to go over any of those for you. Just give us a buzz. (888) 256-4112, drop us a line down below if you like what we're doing here and we can help with anything. And check out the website, www.proacousticsusa.com.

Cotlin:
All right, until next time, I'm Coltin.

Nathan:
And I'm Nathan. We'll see you. Have a great season.
