This retail sound system is designed for retail stores, showrooms, boutiques, and other commercial spaces requiring consistent distributed 70V audio for background and foreground music. This system includes twelve JBL Control 28-1 8" indoor/outdoor speakers, providing wide sound coverage across sales floors, entrances, checkout areas, fitting rooms, and other customer-facing spaces. The speakers feature an 8" woofer, 1" tweeter, wide 100° x 100° coverage, and a built-in 60W 70V/100V transformer for flexible distributed audio installation.
At the core of this retail sound system is the Pure Resonance Audio DZMA8125 8-channel digital mixer amplifier, providing centralized amplification, DSP processing, audio routing, and multi-zone management. The Pure Resonance Audio BTR1 Bluetooth wireless audio receiver provides convenient wireless music streaming from smartphones, tablets, computers, and other compatible devices with a range of up to 100 feet. Two Pure Resonance Audio DZC digital zone controllers provide convenient local control of individual audio zones, while the NETGEAR GS108LP 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with PoE+ supplies network connectivity and power for the zone controllers.

JBL Control 28-1 8" Indoor/Outdoor Speakers
The JBL Control 28-1 is an 8" 2-way indoor/outdoor speaker designed for both background and foreground music applications. Each speaker features an 8" woven fiberglass-cone woofer and 1" PEI diaphragm tweeter, with a wide 100° x 100° coverage pattern for distributing sound across retail and commercial spaces. The weather-resistant enclosure and transducers allow the speakers to be used in indoor or outdoor areas, while the built-in 60W 70V/100V multi-tap transformer supports distributed audio installations.
Pure Resonance Audio DZMA8125 8-Channel Digital Mixer Amplifier
The Pure Resonance Audio DZMA8125 is an 8-channel digital mixer amplifier that combines amplification, mixing, DSP processing, audio routing, and multi-zone control in a single rack-mount unit. It provides 8 x 125W outputs at 4-16 ohms or 4 x 250W bridged outputs for 70V/100V applications. The built-in DSP provides input processing, zone routing, speaker processing, and output tuning, while browser-based network control allows system configuration from a computer, tablet, or smartphone on the local network.
Pure Resonance Audio BTR1 Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver
The Pure Resonance Audio BTR1 Bluetooth wireless audio receiver adds wireless audio streaming to this retail sound system. With Bluetooth 5.0 and a range of up to 100 feet, the BTR1 allows music to be streamed from compatible smartphones, tablets, computers, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The receiver provides stereo RCA and balanced 3.5 mm TRS outputs and supports high-quality Bluetooth codecs including aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, AAC, and SBC.
Pure Resonance Audio DZC Digital Zone Controllers
The Pure Resonance Audio DZC digital zone controllers provide convenient local control of individual audio zones connected to the DZMA8125. The wall-mounted controllers use a rotary encoder and push-button interface for intuitive adjustment, and PoE connectivity allows them to receive both network communication and power through compatible Cat5e or higher network cabling. With two DZC controllers included, this system provides convenient local zone control in separate areas of the retail space.
NETGEAR GS108LP 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with PoE+
The NETGEAR GS108LP provides Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and PoE+ power for the system's network-connected components. Its 8 PoE+ ports can supply power and network connectivity to compatible devices, making it suitable for connecting and powering the included DZC digital zone controllers.
