The IR E4 is a high-performance IR+ infrared emitter designed for use with Williams AV IR M1 systems. It transmits audio input from the IR M1 modulator and delivers wide-area infrared coverage of up to 18,000 sq ft (1,670 sq meters) per emitter. Its design allows multiple emitters to be combined for expanded and flexible coverage in professional installations.

The IR E4 supports both stacked and distributed configurations, allowing up to four emitters to be grouped for large room arrays or strategically placed throughout a venue. This flexibility makes it ideal for auditoriums, conference centers, multi-level spaces, balconies, wings, and other areas with obstructed sightlines or complex architecture.

The emitter is not a standalone device and must be connected to an IR M1 modulator to function. Up to four IR E4 emitters can be connected directly to an IR M1, and up to 16 emitters can be deployed when used with IR A4 distributed emitter arrays, allowing for scalable system expansion in large venues.
