The Control 440CS/T is a premium pair of in-ceiling subwoofers designed to provide deep, high-fidelity bass for commercial and professional audio systems. Equipped with a 200 mm (8") long-excursion woofer and polymerized SBR surround, it delivers powerful low-frequency performance with minimal distortion. Its 32 Hz-300 Hz frequency range ensures full-bodied bass, making it ideal for restaurants, retail spaces, hotels, airports, and other distributed audio environments.

Featuring a built-in passive crossover, the Control 440CS/T can be used as part of a subwoofer-satellite system, supporting two or four satellite speakers to produce a wide-bandwidth, full-range audio experience. It can operate in low-impedance 8Ω mode or in 70V/100V distributed systems using the included 80W multi-tap transformer, providing versatility for different installation scenarios. The system’s copper-clad aluminum voice coil ensures high sensitivity and low distortion even at high output levels.

The bezel-less grille and integrated backcan allow the subwoofer to blend seamlessly into ceiling designs while simplifying installation. A C-ring support backing plate, pre-installed backcan, and paintable grille are included for quick, professional installation. Optional grilles are available in black (JBL-MTC-440BG) or square white (JBL-MTC-440SG). UL 1480A and UL 2043 listings make the Control 440CS/T a safe, reliable choice for commercial distributed audio applications.
