The Control 447HC is a professional 6.5" 2-way coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker sold as a pair, engineered for high-ceiling and highly reverberant spaces where focused, consistent coverage is essential. Part of JBL's Control 400 Premium Coverage Series, the 447HC features a narrow 85° coverage pattern and Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI) technology, seamlessly integrating the coaxial woofer and tweeter outputs for uniform sound dispersion. Its sonic character matches the Control 447C/T, allowing both models to be intermixed in systems for flexible design.

Each speaker is equipped with a 165 mm (6.5") treated paper woofer and a 25 mm (1") soft-dome tweeter, providing warm, full-bodied lows and crisp, detailed highs. The high-efficiency copper-clad aluminum voice coils and neodymium magnet assembly ensure low distortion, high sensitivity, and enhanced power handling. The 447HC pair supports 8Ω direct operation and 70V/100V distributed audio systems via a 60W multi-tap transformer optimized for low saturation and low distortion performance.

Aesthetically, the bezel-less magnetic grilles blend cleanly into ceilings, while integrated backcans, C-ring support plates, and paintable grilles allow quick, professional installation. For installations requiring extended low-frequency support, the 447HC pairs perfectly with the Control 440CS/T subwoofer.
