The Control 447LP is a high-performance 6.5" 2-way low-profile coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker sold as a pair, designed for locations with limited ceiling depth. Part of JBL's Control 400 Premium Coverage Series, the 447LP shares the same sonic character as the 447C/T, allowing both models to be intermixed seamlessly in installations. Its Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI) technology ensures uniform sound dispersion across the listening area, delivering consistent, full-range audio even in compact mounting environments.

Each speaker features a 165 mm (6.5") treated paper woofer and a 25 mm (1") soft-dome tweeter, providing warm, full-bodied bass and crisp, detailed highs. The copper-clad aluminum voice coils and neodymium magnet assembly optimize sensitivity, low distortion, and enhanced power handling. The 447LP pair supports 8Ω direct operation and 70V/100V distributed systems through a 60W multi-tap transformer engineered for low-saturation, low-distortion performance.

The bezel-less magnetic grilles blend cleanly into ceilings, while the integrated backcans, C-ring support plates, and paintable grilles simplify professional installation. For applications requiring extended low-frequency support, the 447LP pairs perfectly with the Control 440CS/T subwoofer. UL 1480A and UL 2043 listings ensure the speakers meet commercial safety standards, making the Control 447LP an ideal solution for shallow-ceiling professional audio installations.
